CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Requirements
Individuals who have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in a Master’s Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution are eligible to take this test. Additionally, candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category falling under the Non-Creamy Layer, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), or Third gender category, who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s degree or equivalent examination, are eligible for this Test.
Candidates must not exceed 30 years of age as of the 1st day of the month when the examination concludes, namely June 2024. However, there is a relaxation of up to 5 years in the age limit for applicants belonging to OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and Third gender categories, as well as women applicants.
