
The Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships are prestigious awards designed to support exceptional individuals committed to addressing global social challenges. Established in 2014, these scholarships enable recipients to pursue a unique 1+1 MBA program at the University of Oxford, combining a one-year Master’s degree with the full-time MBA.
Scholarship Overview
- Purpose: To empower outstanding students to develop scalable and sustainable solutions to world-scale social challenges.
- Number of Scholarships: Up to five full scholarships are awarded annually.
- Coverage: The scholarship covers full tuition fees for both the Master’s degree and the MBA program, along with a living cost grant of at least £19,237 per year for both years of study. Saïd Business School
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Academic Excellence: Demonstrate strong academic achievements through degree results, GMAT or GRE scores, and other academic accolades.
- Leadership Potential: Show evidence of leadership abilities and a commitment to addressing global social challenges.
- Personal Integrity: Exhibit strong personal character, integrity, and dedication.
- Career Intentions: Express a clear intention to focus on solving world-scale social issues, either within existing organizations or through new ventures.
- Program Alignment: Articulate how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will help achieve their objectives. Saïd Business School
Application Process
- Program Application: Apply separately to both the 1+1 MBA program and the chosen Master’s degree program by their respective deadlines, typically in December or January.
- Scholarship Essay: Submit a scholarship essay (maximum 500 words) addressing the question: “How do you intend to change the world and what does this tell us about you as a person?”
- Submission: Upload the scholarship essay in the ‘Funding’ section of the 1+1 MBA program application by the deadline. Saïd Business School
Deadlines
- 1+1 MBA Application: Submit by January 6, 2025.
- Master’s Program Application: Each partnering program has its own deadline, either in December or January.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Planned for early April.
- Interviews: Invitations extended in late April or early May.
